NanoKVM: Compact and Powerful KVM-over-IP Remote Control for Servers and PC Workstations

Take full control of your computers and servers remotely, wherever you are! The NanoKVM is an incredibly compact and affordable KVM-over-IP (Keyboard, Video, Mouse over IP) solution, based on the power and flexibility of the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W and the open-source PiKVM software. Access and manage your systems at the hardware level, from BIOS/UEFI to the operating system, as if you were physically present, all through a simple web interface.

Tired of having to physically be in front of a server for a simple BIOS change or to resolve a boot problem? The NanoKVM is the answer you were looking for. This revolutionary device allows you to have complete and operating system-independent remote access to any computer or server with an HDMI output and a USB port.

Using KVM-over-IP technology, the NanoKVM captures the HDMI video signal of the target system, sends keyboard and mouse commands via USB emulation (via OTG port) and makes everything accessible via a convenient web interface, accessible from any browser on your local network or, with appropriate configuration, also via the Internet.

Main Features:

Full KVM Control via IP: Manage the Keyboard, Video and Mouse of the remote computer as if they were directly connected.
BIOS/UEFI Level Access: Essential for configuring boot, troubleshooting hardware or installing operating systems from scratch, even when the target system's network is not yet active.
Based on Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W: Take advantage of the processing power and energy efficiency of the popular single-board computer, ensuring smooth performance and low power consumption.
PiKVM Software (or similar): Uses robust and feature-rich open-source software, constantly updated by the community.
Intuitive Web Interface: Access and control the device via a standard web browser, without the need to install specific client software.
Full HD Video Streaming: View the remote desktop with clarity, supporting resolutions up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) with low latency (network dependent).
Keyboard and Mouse Emulation: Full compatibility with most operating systems and BIOS/UEFI environments.
Mass Storage Emulation: Mount ISO images or files directly from your computer within the web interface and present them to the remote system as if they were a bootable USB stick or DVD. Perfect for remote OS installations.
ATX Power Control (Potential/Optional): Some configurations may include (or support via additional modules) the ability to power on, power off or reset the remote computer by connecting to the motherboard's front panel pins. (Check exact model specifications)
Ultra-Compact Design: Small size makes it easy to install even in tight spaces.
USB Powered: Typically powered via a standard USB-C port for maximum convenience.

Benefits:

Cost-Effective Solution: A much more affordable alternative to expensive enterprise KVM-over-IP.
Full Remote Management: Troubleshoot, update firmware, install OS without having to physically go on site.
Ideal for Headless Systems: Perfect for servers, mini PCs or computers that do not have a dedicated monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Simplified Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve boot problems or inaccessible operating systems via software.
Open-Source Flexibility: Benefit from powerful, customizable software supported by a large community.

Who is it for:

System Administrators (SysAdmin): For remote management of servers in data centers or remote offices.
IT Professionals: To provide remote technical support at the hardware level.
Homelab Enthusiasts: To easily manage their home lab.
Developers: To access remote test or build machines.
Anyone who needs complete and reliable remote access at the hardware level.
